THIS IS JESSICA'S PAGE
Jessica was born on June 16, 1992. She weighed in at 7 lbs 2 1/2 oz. Mommy found out that she was pregnant with me on September 20, 1991. We were living in Langley, BC at the time. The doctors said that I would honor them with my presence on June 15, 1992. Well they were only a day off. Daddy was very surprised when mommy told him about me.
Where do
you thin I am????
Mommy went into labour on her due date but the doctor just told her that it was false labour. But it was real labour and it started at 8:30 that morning. At about 4:00 am on the 16th, mommy woke up daddy and told him that we needed to go to the hospital. By the time we got there she was 6 centimetres dialated. We were rushed to Red Deer hospital where I was delivered by c-section. Dr. Richards came in the ambulance with mommy and assisted Dr. Holloway with the delivery. So at 5:58 am, I came into this world, a bright bouncing baby girl. Daddy saw me before mommy did. It was an emergency c-section so they had to put mommy out.
Here is my baby picture. I am only a few hours old:
and this is the birth announcement that was placed in the newspaper.
This is me when I came home from the hospital.
This was me on father's day.
In the first months of my life this is what I did and what was going on around me:
On July 4 at one month I held my head up for the first time.
At 2 months, I enjoyed smiling at daddy and holding onto my rattle.
This is my dedication:
At 3 months, I used to straighten my legs and stand, I also started eating solid foods.
At 4 months, I used the jolly jumper for the first time at Auntie Sue's. I found how to splash in the tub also. My first molar came out and then went back in.
At 5 months, I rolled from back to tummy, and made lots of fishy faces. Sitting by myself was also my accomplishment this month. I also got croupe this month.
6 months brought my first Christmas, and my rolling from tummy to back. I still don't like the baby food.
7 months brought me my first ring. It had my birthstone on it. I also took my first steps with help and I can now sit up without any help.
At 8 months, my favorite activity was my baths and watching tv. I loved to make faces and noises with my tongue. Finally I can get up onto my hands and knees.
9 months I can pull myself to a standing position and I got my first tooth.
10 months I got the top two teeth and had my first haircut. Mommy and daddy were so proud of me because I also said my first word, it was "bye-bye".
11 months, I sat on the grass for the first time and didn't like it. I can now say dad. Favorite food is spaghetti, sour or strong foods.
At a year, I started climbing on boxes and the couch. Mommy or daddy would say something to me and I would shake my head "no". I love to climb in the cupboards.
This was my birthday cake
Everyone says I look like a
porcelain doll.

This is my great, great Uncle Russel. He just passed away. We will miss him a lot.
My second year brought changes as well.
At two I enjoyed playing peekaboo, and biting daddy on the forehead. My favorite toy was my Little Tikes slide and my favorite song was "Hip Hip Hippopotamus". My favorite show was Barney.
Boy do I ever love peanut butter.
